I am from Chicago as well and moved here for three months this year after buying a place last year. I have been coming down here for 17 years.
I would be here longer but still am working part time. I love it here. I live in Nuevo Vallarta and love the beach there. It has a wonderful beach and great restaurants.

Forgive my lack of response, I just discovered this feature on this website today. Are you down here right now? (2/22/16) Where in Nuevo do you live? I purchased my condo in ’03 and just recently (Nov.) moved into it on a full time basis. I’m retired and so far am enjoying living here on a full time basis. I don’t seem to be having any trouble finding things to do as the days move by swiftly, but so far, I have no social life because I don’t know anyone. Tell me more about yourself.
