Where did you live previously: We currently live in Novi, Michigan a suburb of Detroit and are excited to move in to the Avalon condos in April. We plan to snow bird and live seasonally in Vallarta probably Jan-April but perhaps sneaking in more trips throughout the year.
What part of town do you live in: Amapas & Conchas Chinas
Why did you decide to move to Vallarta: We want to get out of the horrible Michigan winters but at the same time we want to learn a new culture, a new language and enjoy the adventures of exploring a different country.
What other places did you consider: We explored India (our birth country), Arizona, Florida and Akumal (between Playa del Carmen and Tulum).
What were the main reason(s) you moved here: We chose Vallarta honestly because our hearts fell in love with it. It met our requirements of a vibrant city with sunset/ocean/mountain views and a comfortable year round climate. We wanted not only a resort or beach town but a city offering culture, activities, sports, a multitude of dining/drinking establishments and nightlife.
What are the top (3) things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now: Since we are moving in April, will have to provide this information later.

Thanks for the Spanish teacher recommendation as well as the warm welcome. We are closing on our Vallarta condo on April 20th and will be there through May 20th. Hope to talk with you once we’re there.
