Where did you live previously? We are expat snowbirds and live 5 – 6 months in PV and the rest just outside Toronto Canada in a horsetwon called Guelph. Before migrating to Canada we lived in Tanzania and are originally from, GOA, Portugese India.
When did you move to Vallarta? We moved to a gated house in Varsailles , PV 2004 and rented for two years in Bayview grand in the Marina.
What part of town do you live in? Hotel Zone
Why did you decide to move to Vallarta? We loved the people, the weather and the golf and tennis and the ocean and restaurants. and ofcourse the neighbourhood we moved to where we can mix with expats and local people and practise out Spanish on a daily basis.
What other places did you consider? Morelia and Quernavaca, Lake Chapala.
What were the main reason(s) you moved here? Sunshine and warmth in the winter!
What are the top (3) things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now?
- Have a car
- Live in a good safe neighborhood
- Do some community work to fulfill your life and feel useful and play a sport
