Where are you living now / where are you from: I live in Sebastopol CA, USA (in beautiful Sonoma County, Northern CA). I am from Duncans Mills CA, USA, also located in Sonoma County.
Timeframe for a move: Slowly, over the next 5 years. We hope to spend at least 4 months a year in PV and especially Yelapa. We want to start by buying a condo in PV to stay in and then to rent when we’re not in town. I’d say we are not looking to be full time PV residents, just most of the time residents.
Where else are you considering: Nowhere else in Mexico appeals to us the way PV does, but Sayulita would be another choice if PV weren’t viable.
Why Vallarta: The community in Old Town, the atmosphere, the rich history, the weather, the beauty of living abroad, the Mexican people, and the opportunity to explore living a dream.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: I am mainly looking for advice on working/jobs, and on how to own real estate, and how all that translates into the Mexican way of life and doing business. Most of our time in Mexico is spent in rural Yelapa, but we are trying to get to know PV, and have come to love it on our last visits.
