Why Vallarta: I lived in Vallarta from 1991-1996 with my husband and two young children. We lived for a year at Costa de Oro condominium and at Marina Las Palmas II for the rest of the time. I loved living there as we became more and more settled into he Mexican way and my Spanish became better because of Sr. Melchor. There was always someplace new to explore and do especially with the children’s school events.
The children went to the British-American School and we attended the Baptist church every Sunday where Pastor Bob led the service.
I haven’t been back since so I don’t know if any of my old Mexican and American/Canadian friends are still there. I do know it has developed tremendously to where I probably wouldn’t recognize a lot of it. However, I know it offers that much more to do and see and the opportunity to meet many new friends. I have literally dreamed I was living there again which I would love to do if I can see my way to do so.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: I don’t know at this time. Maybe I just need to learn more about Vallarta and suitable places to live on a budget.
Welcome back Chris. We have been here 12 years in September. And yes big changes especially since my first trip in 1965. The Baptist church is still there and also the Paradise nondenominational church we belong. It is located in Old Town corner of Basillo Badillo and Hwy 200 above the old Wings Restaurant in the Stages Act ll Theater. There are tons of activities for Eexpats
