Where did you live previously: Born in England, I married Gordon a Canadian I met in School and we moved to Calgary where we spent 23 years working in the Oil industry and raising our family. In 1992 a career change brought us to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Having lived and worked in Nanaimo for the last 20 years we retired in 2012. We will continue to reside 6 months in Nanaimo and 6 months in Mexico
What part of town do you live in: Bucerias & North Bay- El Tizate
Why did you decide to move to Vallarta: After vacationing here on numerous occasions throughout the years it was an obvious choice for us when we thought about retiring.
What other places did you consider: None
What were the main reason(s) you moved here: Climate, Friendly
What are the top (3) things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now:
- Try to learn some Spanish to communicate (still trying)
- Don’t wait for someone to say “Hola” to you , say it first!
- Remember this is Mexico don’t expect or want things to be the same as where you came from.
