Where are you living now / where are you from: We are from Minneapolis and have rented a condo in Amapas for a year starting in April, 2015.

Timeframe for a move: I am retired and Larry will retire at the end of 2015. We plan to rent for a few years (or forever) and maybe buy later.

Where else are you considering: Nowhere else right now.

Why Vallarta: We have been coming to Vallarta since 2003 and love the climate of course, but also the social, artistic and gastronomic atmosphere. it is easy to meet people especially during happy hour at Apache’s on Olas Altas. Another important reason for us is that I want to speak (and improve) my Spanish while Larry is more at a beginning level and can manage better in English.

How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: We want to start on tourist visas, returning to the US every six months. Can we reenter Mexico right away? We are also planning to drive down for the first time next year and could use advice on routes (through Texas), document requirements, etc.
