Where are you living now / where are you from: San Francisco Bay Area. Have lived there for years. Last decade or more I’ve been in Marin County.
Timeframe for a move: Not sure, but within a few years perhaps?
Where else are you considering: No where at present. I love Puerto Vallarta!
Why Vallarta: The people. The culture. The language. The beauty of the area. The charm and vibrancy of P.V. itself. I have been visiting, and it feels like a happier culture to me. I love speaking Spanish – and need to improve of course. 🙂
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: I would love to chat about what it is really like living in Puerto Vallarta. I have some info already, but need more. I’m also coming soon for a month-long visit this winter and would love some advice/leads on places to stay. I’m currently researching it. I’m looking for an apartment, cottage, house. Not a big hotel or a super high-end place. Want something in the real town of P.V. El centro, Zona Romantica, hills nearby, etc.
Hi Diane, we have lived here 12 years. I was born in Albany, but lived in Alameda & Country Costa counties for most of my life. I am a retired CHP officer. My wife and I would never move back to the USA. We love it here and regardless of your hobbies or interests you won’t be disappointed here. We have wonderful theaters. malls, hospitals, dental care Etc. We have more friends here than we ever had in Castro Valley where we lived. There are about 50,000 full time gringos here. And in high season that probably triples. I am willing to field your questions at fstphoenjuno.com.
Hi Dennis. Thanks so much for the message. I do have some questions about longterm living in Puerto Vallarta. You said you prefer I get in touch at your web site, so I’ll go take a look there.
I also have questions and would love a little guidance about trying to find a place to stay for just one month this winter. I’ll be in P.V. from 12/13/15 to 1/10/15 this winter and hope to meet some expats and do more research on the idea of actually moving there.
I’ve been there before a few times and absolutely loved it, but of course I need to know more.
Thanks much,
Diane
Dennis, I tried going to fstphoenjuno.com but got an error message that I couldn’t connect to or see that page. Is that the correct URL?
Thanks,
Diane
