Where are you living now / where are you from:  I currently live in Elk Grove California, about 18 miles south of Sacramento, California.
Timeframe for a move:  12-24 months depending on surgeries. I’d like to make another visit before having surgery.
Where else are you considering:  Not sure, perhaps Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, or San Miguel de Allende just depends but I’d like to give Puerto Vallarta a try first.
Why Vallarta:  I have a niece who recently decided to retire to PV. I spent a week there this past July 2015. I met other expats living in the Romantic Zone and in the area Cinco de Decembre from New York, Cleveland and Canada. I had a great time. Ate at Fredy’s Tucan, Bravo’s and met the owner Michael, and frequented a couple of other establishments. I was impressed by how friendly the locals were and the beauty of the city. I’ve spent 1 to 2 weeks in Cancun since 2012 and always enjoyed my stay. I’m an avid amateur photographer and I enjoy visiting archaeological sites.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you:  Well, I’m 67. I just retired and I’m thinking of driving my 2014 VW Jetta from California to Vallarta. Once there, I’d like to meet other Expats and get to know the area. Not sure if I can handle PV’s hot and humid summers but I’d like to give it a try. I’ve considered living in Mexico since 2012.
