Where are you living now / where are you from: We live west of Chicago in small town of 15,000 people. Both born and raised in Illinois
Timeframe for a move: My wife retired in 2011 and I plan to semi-retire in 2014. We plan to spend Jan – Mar in Vallarta.
Where else are you considering? There is no place better to consider than Vallarta!
Why Vallarta? We have been to Vallarta 26 times since 1994 (always in December’s or January’s) and absolutely love it. The people, the food, the climate, the shopping, the beaches and the ambiance is what attracted us and keeps us coming back. The thing we love about Vallarta is that the town offers many of the conveniences of home but still retains it’s traditions and flavor of true Mexico. We enjoy socializing, cocktails in a friendly beachside bar, having a great dinner with friends, charity work and enjoying life with no pressure or pretense. We are your average income couple who have worked hard to achieve the nicer things in life and hope to spend our winters in the paradise we love called Puerto Vallarta.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you? We’d love to meet and get to know more Americans in Vallarta. The building we rent a condo in has many Americans and Canadians owners there and we have met many of them but some are a little snooty and keep to their own inner circle.
