Timeframe for a move: Probably complete a full move in 2 years. Until then, we will spend our winters there

Where else are you considering: Merida Yucatan, Mayan Riviera. We currently have a place in Arizona

Why Vallarta: Our friends just bought a condo in Bucerias and my sister has a timeshare in Nuevo. I like the idea of a large expat community, widespread English (although we are learning Spanish) the shopping, weather and the fact that we can retire quite comfortably on our military pensions.
