Timeframe for a move: Very, very shortly as in maybe a couple weeks if the situation is right
Where else are you considering: Nowhere
Why Vallarta: Vallarta seems like a very nice place. Looks like a decent size community of English speaking ex pats. It’s close to an international airport and by all accounts has a reasonable cost of living too. I’m tired of the fast paced rat race and am looking to settle down and simplify my life. I want time to appreciate the finer things in life.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: I’m looking on advice for areas to live that are cost efficient. Leads on places to stay in the short term (6months or so) that i can ive at while i decide if its the place for me. I welcome and and all advice on where to stay, cost of living, advice about maybe driving there from San Diego, Getting visa’s/residency etc…….
At least for the next 9 months i have a solid source of income through my military G.I bill and most likely i will be getting some sort of disability through the Veterans affairs. In the mean time i want to find an a place that i will be able to call home.
If anybody has any leads on affordable housing in a nice area please let me know. I was hoping to spend about 400 a month on rent. Is that feasible? I’ve spent a lot of time deployed in the military living in substandard living conditions so I don’t need much. I’m very low maintenance. The only thing that is a deal breaker is bad internet. I need internet to survive.
Im very open to anything. email me at 513yoshi@gmail.com
Congrats on the lifestyle change and good luck on your move!
I will be following along and I am hoping to learn a few things from your posts. There seems to be a lot of collective wisdom and tribal knowledge here to draw from.
Hi, Jeremy. We have been here 11 years and we are very active in the community. As a veteran myself and Chaplain with the Local Post #14 of American Legion I encourage you to join so you can meet all kinds of guys and gals involved and living full time in PV. Or just e-mail me with your questions.
