Where did you live previously: Toronto originally, then we moved to Victoria, British Columbia in summer of 2009
What part of town do you live in: in Old Town, at the South end of the Malecon
Why did you decide to move to Vallarta: We bought our little condo in 2012 because we love the ocean and being warm “no car, no coat, no socks” We’ll spend several months a year, but also love Victoria in Spring, Summer and Fall
What other places did you consider: Have vacationed many places but never wanted to buy until now
What were the main reason(s) you moved here: Need to see sun and be near water
What are the top (3) things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now:
- IT IS SAFE HERE (unless you’re involved in something very stupid). We get quite annoyed at the press in Canada and USA for making it sound as if you’re in danger all the time!
- It’s important to treat the Mexicans here well; much of their livelihood depends on us and that can’t be easy, but everyone is so lovely.
