Where are you living now / where are you from: We live in the desert in So Cal. We have previously lived and cruised aboard our 36 ft Catalina. We sailed 5 years which included a year going down the coast of Mexico, then Costa Rica, Panama and eventually to Roatan, Honduras where we ran the Hotel/Restaurant Yacht Club for a few years. We really enjoy Mexico and Central America.

Timeframe for a move: Spring 2015

Where else are you considering: There were lots of places on our list including going back to Roatan. Merida and the Yucatan, San Miguel de Allende. Also was being a Mexico Nomad for awhile 3-4 months at a time.

Why Vallarta: We have pretty much made our decision that Vallarta is a good fit for us. We really want to be near the water. In a place where there is a good mix of expats along with the quaintness of the town and Mexican Culture. We like good restaurants, other interesting places/towns to discover on day trips, etc. Good transportation options. etc.

How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: Help with resources for rental agents, doctors, dentists, restaurants, etc. Also pro’s and cons of neighborhoods.
