Where else are you considering: Was thinking of Ajijic, but have now settled exclusively on Vallarta.
Why Vallarta: Have been looking at blogs and learning more about it. Also read a recent article at Huffington Post. It was always on my radar, but the more I know the more I think it is the place for me. Same latitude as Hawaii and I really liked the weather there.

I lived in Ajijic for 4 years before moving to PV. Beautiful but too dead for me. I’m kind of dreading the heat and humidity of PV this summer, but my friends from DC who have lived here year around say it’s no worse than DC. I guess we’ll see.
