Puerto Vallarta Relocation Guide
First Hand, Step–By-Step Process
Plus, You Can Drive to Puerto Vallarta!
Mike and Sara fell in love with Puerto Vallarta and have never left. Expats In Vallarta is the group of people from mostly the United States and Canada, but Australia, New Zealand and Europe too, living at least part of the year in Puerto Vallarta. It was started by Sara and a friend Tish Holloway about 10 years ago and that first event had over 100 people marking the start of Expats In Vallarta. Today it is operated by Sara and Mike and it is the largest and most active Expats community in Mexico.
They have been kept busy answering questions from people thinking about moving to Puerto Vallarta for many years while, at the same time, providing at least one social event per week most of the time, usually more, so new people can very easily make new friends. Actually, the material contained in this guide relates directly to the specific questions they answer daily and has been proven to be very helpful to all the expats who have already moved here.

Some Comments From Expats Already Here:
- We are busier now than when we were working, but we really love what we’re doing – Wendy
- We retired early because we figured out that we could have an excellent quality of life and be able to golf, go out to dinner with friends, all within our limited budget and not live like paupers – Cathy
- I moved here much earlier in life than I planned because I found out that I could have a better quality of life than I was having in the States and it’s costing me much less and I love all the great people I have met who did the same thing and are now my best friends – Jodi
- We moved here because we wanted our children to get an education where they would be fluent in Spanish, attend a private school and after their graduation from high school, they will have the credentials to attend an excellent college anyplace in the world – John
- We are enjoying the simplicity of life here and I’m sure it will extend our lives by many years – Susan
