Why Vallarta: Heard it was a safe place, and love the weather.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: We are coming to visit for one week in May 2015 (5/14 thru 5/21) and we would like to discuss cost of living, safety, and process of moving, etc. We would love to get together with some expats while we are visiting in May, but I am not sure how or where to find other expats that already reside in Vallarta.

Hi Robin, we have lived here fulltime for twelve years. I am a retired California Highway Patrol Officer and my wife and I are now missionaries here teaching English at a local orphanage, Social Services Boys home and a high school in a fishing village south of town. We are very active and I am considered a local networking guy because of our many activities. We also have a very active American Legion Post 14 if either of you are veterans. I am the Chaplain for the American Legion. We have tons of gringo and non-gringo activities here in PV. We also have a nondenominational English speaking church where you would meets tons of full and part time gringos. It is located in the Stages ACT ll theater located at the corner of Basilo Badillo and Hwy 200 upstairs. Service is at 10:30 am Sunday mornings. Dress code, shorts. Hehe. P.s. We would never move back to the states as it is a lot safer here and 300 days of sunshine and great restaurants and most importantly great friendly atmosphere.,
