Terrie Gaughan
Employed or Retired: Semi-retired
Where did you live previously: Naches, Washington; Ripon, California
What part of town do you live in: Nuevo Vallarta
Why did you decide to move to Vallarta: My sister, Sheri, and I started Beach Crossers to help people with limited mobility get to the beautiful beaches and attractions of the Vallarta area. We traveled to PV for many years with our Mom, Shirley, who used a wheelchair. We learned first hand how difficult it could be and wanted to make it easier for others.
What other places did you consider: None. Vallarta is the right choice for us. We have dear friends in the area and love the people, sites and atmosphere of Vallarta.
What were the main reason(s) you moved here: I love the lifestyle in Vallarta. I especially enjoy that people are not always in a hurry to get somewhere. People have time to be kind to one another and enjoy the beauty of the area.
What are the top (3) things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now: People are willing to help. Just do it. You won’t regret it.
Hi Terrie,
Most of my family live in Naches, and further up Chinook Pass. I look forward to getting down to PV. I have been challenged with a Giant Alaskan Malamute, and I think I finally figured out how to get down there without paying several thousand dollars. I currently live in Joshua Tree, amd much like Naches it is beautiful, but it is still npt attached to the Pacific ocean, amd Naches is just outright “brrrrrrrrrr”! Hope to meet you soon.
Hey Jeff,
I’m not sure why I never saw this post, but did you make it down to PV? Would be fun to meet for coffee.
