Where did you live previously? We moved to Ajijic which is near Guadalajara in 2000 and before southern California
When did you move to Vallarta? 2007
What part of town do you live? Marina
Why did you decide to move? We originally moved to Ajijic for the small village appeal and then to Vallarta. We feel it has it all city, shopping, restaurants, with the small town feel.
What were your considerations? Our families much prefer Vallarta because there is so many places to visit and things to do.
What was the main reason(s) you moved here? We like the beaches, being from California you get the best of both worlds. Beach front property with lower costs and taxes than that of California. We have Costco, Home depot, SAMs and several movie theaters. What more could you need!
Top 3 things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now?
- Easy access to the USA via air or by car with toll roads the we feel are very safe.
- We feel the health care is as good as or better than the US and the cost are very reasonable.
- It is a easy lifestyle and I can’t see us moving back to USA any time soon.
