Timeframe for a move:  2-4 Months. We’ll know for sure at the end of Oct.

Where else are you considering:  Just PV area for now.

Why Vallarta:  It seems the perfect fit for us just beginning our retirement. Feel like we’re stepping off a cliff but we’re really excited. Have visited in the past. Love bigger cities with lots of amenities within walking distance since we’re not bringing a car. Love the culture, food & people all over Mexico but really feel PV is the place for us to live full-time.

How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you:  Small fully furnished rental needed that will accept our 2 golden retrievers Nomar & Pedro. Would like referral for an English speaking realtor to help. Prefer 1 month at first, then we’ll secure something longer term when we get there and can look in person.
Have heard “stories” about getting dinged for a past renter’s electricity bill….would like help on how not to become a victim of this.
Planning on starting either Temporarily Visa or Permanent Visa process in Las Vegas, whichever one they’ll be kind enough to give us. Stopping there to visit in-laws on our way to PV. Then will finish the visa process at local INM office in PV. Would like comments on others who’ve gone through the process without an immigration attorney service. Or if people really think it’s necessary??
Want health insurance. Exploring all our options.
