Why Vallarta: We have vacationed in Puerto Vallarta for the past 7 years and have fallen in love with it. Our first vacation in PV was at an all-inclusive which was very nice but we felt somewhat trapped at the resort. So since then we have stayed at small hotels, B&B’s or rented condo’s near downtown. We have even figured out the bus system and have walked the city over and over and have always had great experience’s. Within a few days after being home we are wishing we were back in PV.
How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: “Our plan” is to retire and spend 2 – 3 months in PV over the winter and then head back to Wisconsin after the iceberg’s have melted (a true snowbird). This next winter when we come back to PV for vacation we are going to start looking for apartments or condos to rent for the winter of 2016 – 2017 when we will both be retired. I have been checking out several web sites for rentals, do you have any recommendations as to a realtor? Thank you for your time.
As a retired California Highway Patrolman who has lived here almost 12 years I can say you have good taste. We live here full time and can tell you it is a wonderful and safe place to live. I am a good go to guy here and would be happy to answer your questions except for realtors. We own our own home so don’t associate very often with realtors. But the Expat community of about 50,000 or more is very active.
We are missionaries teaching English at the orphanage, Social Services Boys Home and the Boca de Tomatlan High school. I am also a Chaplain with the American Legion Post 14 here where we do many outreaches with our English speaking church called Paradise church above the old Wings Restaurant in the STAGES Act ll theater corner of Basillo Badillo and Hwy 200.

I do know one very honest realtor here who attends our church and is very knowledgeable about real estate and can either help you or direct you. One has to be very careful renting here as we have recently heard some horror stories. Here name is Freda Thompson and here e-mail is: fredafish@hotmail.com. Just tell her I referred you.
