Gary,
Just wanted to reach out and say Hi. My wife & I are also from Michigan and will be closing on a condo in PV in the next few days. We plan to snowbird there for the winter months. So hope to see you January 2016!
Best of luck, Al Vardya
It won’t be long now and I will be there. Looking forward to meeting both of you.
How long is long? Hehe
Gary, you couldn’t pick a better place. We retired from Northern California and moved here almost 12 years ago. As a retired CHP officer safety was one of my main concerns. I can honestly say that it is much safer here. And there are tons of Expat activities. We are missionaries here and there are many outreaches and opportunities to volunteer.
We have the best Spanish teacher in ALL OF Mexico. Her name is Maria de Pedro e-mail: Maria_catalina@hotmail.com / telephone 044-322-134-6874.
Restaurants: oh my, to numerous to count. Hard to go wrong.
Safety issues. No different than then US. Be observant. Don’t be flashy with diamonds and jewelry. Daytime crime is an occasional pickpocket. Nighttime is fine in all the restaurants and also family oriented on the malecon. If you hang out in the club scene then you are more at risk obviously.
Lots of great entertainment opportunities i.e. Theater, jazz, opera, boating, fishing, hiking, whale watching & English church services etc. My e-mail fstphoen@juno.com
