International Friendship Club Discounts to Support Cleft Palate Surgery Program

 In Articles, Health Care

¡Hola!

It is almost November and the start of the 2012-2013 International Friendship Club (IFC) season begins in earnest. We are working to offer many interesting activities for the coming season and hope you will be able to participate when you are here in PV. You can be proud to be part of the over 500 members who joined the IFC last season.

As you probably already know, the primary charitable mission for the IFC is our Cleft Palate Surgery Program (CPP). This is the 26th year that the IFC has arranged for surgeons to come from Guadalajara to treat the children in the PV area afflicted with this condition. The next clinics and surgeries are taking place on Thursday Nov. 1 and Friday Nov. 2 at the new Premier CMQ Hospital. This marks a real step ahead for our program.

The IFC is well known for its original Home Tours that began in 1987 and will start another season on Wednesday, November 14. Tours will operate every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the season visiting 4 homes each tour and seeing different homes each week. New homes are added to the tour each year. The tour cost is $450 pesos and can be purchased the day of the tour beginning at 9:00 am or online at our new dedicated website for the home tours: PVhometours.com. Take a look! Location and additional information can be found on this website. The IFC Home Tours are the primary source of support for the Cleft Palate Program.

We would like to take this opportunity to ask every member to personally go on at least one Home Tour this season and to take or send your guests on the tour when they visit. If you will make this pledge and follow through our success and what we can accomplish for the needy in our community will be unlimited!

And as a special incentive to kick off the Home Tour season, members and their guests will receive 50% off on their Home Tour tickets in November.  Since membership is $350 pesos and the Home Tour is normally $450 pesos, the half price means membership effectively costs just $125 pesos. And if someone goes on 2 home tours their $450 saving means the membership is free. What a deal.
