Where are you living now / where are you from: I am living in Mesa, AZ and am hoping to retire in 2 years. I really want to retire by the ocean, so I am looking at PV. I toyed with Costa Rica, but I need more modern amenities and not “village” living. I lived for 20 years in Santa Rosa, CA, 20 years in Santa Barbara, CA and then back to Santa Rosa for approx 15 years.

Timeframe for a move: Again, I hope to retire in 2 years……and then depending on circumstances hope to move from here in another year. So, 2017-ish?

Where else are you considering: Costa Rica, Calif ocean area(waaaayyyyy too expensive, so that is really not an option.

Why Vallarta: The modern living, the ocean and weather (altho’ I did read the comment on the humidity and I am not so happy with humidity, which is why I love AZ…….). I have read some on the shopping, theaters etc in PV

How can ExPats in Vallarta assist you: I have questions regarding actually living there and would just like to “talk” to someone about it.
