The first thing I would say as a retired California Highway Patrolman is that it is much safer here. The only immigration problem is the annual influx of Canadian & American gringos in High Season. Hehe. Definitely can’t say that about Barcelona. No terrorist bombing here yet. We have lived here full time for 14 years and would never live back in the states. Plus a ton cheaper to get back to California to visit my kids, grandkids and great grandkids & friends.
