Marina Vallarta Art Sale

 In Articles, Social Events

It was a beautiful and hot weekend for our art sale.  We were happy to have support from the Ex Pats and from our friends. Also, because of our excellent walk-by location, we met neighbors and visitors from the U.S., Canada, and other parts of Mexico. It was a Mexican holiday weekend — something that we did not consider when planning this event.

Actually my art exhibits have always occurred during the height of the season in late January or early February, so by having it in November we were unsure of what to expect. As you can see from the pictures attached, there was something for everyone. Wall art – acrylics and oils — large and small. Unusual hand-painted gift items, hand-painted tables and rugs. Even a few very, very cute hand-made beach cover-ups! So, how did it turn out for the two starving artists who worked very hard to make this a fun event for all who attended? Did they end up with enough pesos to help defray the costs of their passion? Very well, thank you very much, and, yep! And, it ended on a high note with a little shopping frenzy about an hour prior to closing on Sunday!

Will we do it again after the first of the year, and before the season ends? You bet!! And, for those of you who did not make it, we hope this will inspire you to attend the next event!
