    Hi Nikki,
This is Trenie Penrod and an expat for approx 1 year now. I have tried to get medical ins in PV and had an appointment to see someone to help me a couple of weeks back and found out some “crummy” news, therefore I needed to cancel the appointment until I applied for a “proof of residency” As of last Sept (2013) a new law came into effect and was supposedly made to prevent money laundering. Therefore she was not able to help me until I summited my paperwork for my residency. A receipt is all that I need to start the process. Rental paper, utility receipt etc. The office is across the street where the cruise ships arrive. The lady that can give you quotes from several companies is Christina Pompa….email is ….mailto:cristina@novamar.net…….she can answer some of your questions prior to arriving so you can get a jump start…
I’m told you can get traveler’s ins for 6 months that will cover you until things get started.

Anyway this is a start and looking forward to meeting you when you arrive, Trenie

    Hola Amigos,

Everyone can have health insurance that’s easy to apply for and affordable, too!

Snowbirds and travelers need short term international health insurance that covers them while they are away from their domestic health insurance. You can get it by the day, so you never pay too much and you can get it today! no health questions. Nobody turned away.

ExPats who plan on going back to their home country (and Medicare) can use short-term international health insurance or if they don’t have health insurance back home, or if they choose to get treatment here, they get long-term, international health insurance.
It takes a week or ten days to apply, but very few people are denied.

I represent an American company that’s easy to work with, priced competitively and has an excellent service record in PV!
