What part of town do you live in? Palmar de Aramara Near Sam’s and the Cruise ships
Why did you decide to move to Vallarta? Of all the places we visited, this felt like home. We loved the way the jungle meets the ocean and that there are no Hurricanes.
What other places did you consider? Cabo and Cancun
What were the main reason(s) you moved here? The people. They reminded us so much of Texans – Friendly Also the beauty of the city and the surroundings.
What are the top (3) things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now?
- Don’t ever ask yourself WHY …Because it just is.
- If you want things like they are were you come from, then don;t come here. We are here to enjoy the people and the culture.
- Getting things like phone service, cable, electric, etc. are much quicker than we expected.

I was doing research on moving to Vallarta and I was shocked to see a couple of familiar faces on this forum! I don’t know if you’ll remember me, but we took a 14-night Mediterranean cruise together on Holland America way back in 2001. I was with my mom, Norma, from Canada. I’m still flying, but looking to commute from PV. How are you guys?
