Why did you decide to move to Vallarta: I like the climate, ocean views, big sky, crooked streets, happy noise, variety and unpredictability. The food is good, too.
What other places did you consider: I did not consider any other place.
What were the main reason(s) you moved here: I was down-sizing, so I came to live in a condo I bought years ago. The condo has a perfect location…a few blocks up from the Malecon, in the neighborhood of Mama Rose, Cafe des Artistes, El Arrayan, Pipi’s and a dozen art galeries.
What are the top (3) things you have learned that you think might help someone moving to Vallarta now:
- Don’t compare Vallarta with your home city in the States
- Be aware that bus drivers are not necessarily trying to miss hitting you
- Smile at but keep walking briskly when accosted by vendors and time share salesmen
